Caroline Vatcher (Caroline Osborne, Duchess of Leeds) (Jersey, 1931-2005), Portrait of a Young Woman, charcoal on laid toned paper, signed lower left 'Leeds', framed, 13¾ x 10½ in. (34.9 x 26.7cm.). * The artist was married to the 11th Duke of Leeds and was the last ever Duchess of Leeds. Her maiden name was Vatcher and she was the daughter of Colonel Henry Monckton Vatcher of Jersey, an artist of distinction whose paintings were exhibited widely, and who had a home in Southern France.
