Private David Alan Souter, service number 16736, New Zealand Infantry. 26th Battalion A WWII medal group comprising New Zealand war service medal, WWII war medal, defence medal, 1939-1945 star, Africa star and New Zealand Memorial Cross together with two albums containing three pieces of original artwork by David whilst serving in Egypt and a painting of dragonflies which was exhibited at the Royal Drawing Society’s Exhibition London at the age of 14, the rest of the album containing artwork and ephemera relating to Robert Souter to include a recruitment poster for the London Scottish regiment, the artwork originally done by Robert, a catalogue of paintings and drawings exhibited for the London Scottish Regimental Gazette and others, the second album containing photos of David Souter, Scotland in 1936, Leysdown in 1936, Paris 1935 and Germany in 1937 together with two original framed watercolours by David Souter.
