AN EARLY 20TH CENTURY ROYAL ENGINEERS SCARLET TUNIC. An early 20th Century Royal Engineers Scarlet tunic with elaborately braided cuffs and collar, the shoulders with interlaced silver epaulettes with the rank of A lieutenant in the Territorials. With nine Royal Engineers buttons. With a label for J. Daniels & Co. 1 Artillery Place, Woolwich & 34 Bury St St James' S.W. Named for Major A. H. Taylor R.E. number L429. 76cm top to bottom at the back, approximately 46cm across the shoulders. *CR Slightly grubby and marked to the exterior. Internally good with slight marks and spots.
