An amethyst and pearl dress ring, comprising a central oval mixed cut amethyst measuring 9mm x 6mm, with a small cultured pearl to either side, all set in yellow metal (unmarked) to a tapering plain polished shank, ring size O 1/2, weight 2.3gms
Overall fair, moderate amount of wear to faceted centre stone, abrasions concentrated to facet edges. Moderate scratching and wear to the pearls either side. Moderate denting and loss to the metal border surround. Shank is not original, and is later then the stones. Signs of alteration between ring head and shank at the shoulders. Shank is in good order, general scratching and wear and some minor signs of thinning, but no splitting, thinning or signs of resizing.
