A very large original mixed media on board including acrylic and natural fibers by the contemporary Irish artist Daithi Brophy. This work is inspired by James Orr's poem "The Irishman," showing a salmon leaping in an Irish river under a moody, overcast sky and captioned with the first line from the poem "The savage loves his native shore."
