An Edwardian red morocco leather government dispatch box for Henry Hartley Fowler (1830-1911)
1st Viscount Wolverhampton with gilt stamped cyphers of King Edward VII, further stamped with Viscount Wolverhampton's name. Viscount Wolverhampton was a Liberal politician, Secretary of State for India and Chancellor of the Duchy of Lancaster.
48 x 35cm, 20cm high.

More Information

Staining, wrinkling and some minor tears to the exterior. Some old silverfish damage and loose joins to the interior lifting tier.

Otherwise generally sound, condition commensurate with age and use.
