Around 90 Monarch Series standard size real photographic postcards of the Durham and Northumberland areas by the photographer R Johnston, with a fairly even split of cards from the series numbered in the 8,000s (8,091 – 8,992) and 10,000s (10,048 – 10,938). One multi-view postcard of Wingate has a stain and significant creasing but the others are in mainly good or better condition. Some have the usual faults, such as corner knocks and edge bumps and bruises. Our photos show 3 random groups of 12 postcards in order of Monarch Series numbers.
