A FIRST WORLD WAR CASUALTY PAIR TO THE BEDFORDSHIRE REGIMENT. A Great War pair comprising War Medal and Victory Medal named to 22325 Cpl T.Taylor Bedf R. Thomas Taylor from Essenden in Hertfordshire fought with the 4th (Extra Reserve) Battalion of the Bedfordshire Regiment, whilst an acting Corporal, on the 18th December 1916 he was wounded and entitled to a wound stripe, later a full Corporal he was killed in action on the 30th October 1917, he is commemorated at the Poelcapelle British Cemetery north of Ypres in Belgium. With copied MiC and research. *CR War Medal lacking ribbon. A lot fee of £8 inc. VAT will be charged on top of the hammer price and BP on all lots.
