Star Lot : An incredible large and rare "Vinegar" King James bible dating to the 18th century with a beautiful hard leather bound cover. The bible got its nickname from the error's made by its publisher John Baskett, who in Luke 20 turned vineyard to vinegar. First published in 1717, such large editions as these would have been passed through a family generations, with two members inscriptions from 1820 and 1821 included on the frontispiece. Largest bible we have ever had by far. Last chapter Revelation 22
