William IV antique parcel gilt silver table snuff box of heavy gauge and large proportions, cushioned squat thistle shaped cross-section, the plain rectangular top with engine turned border and relief scrolling foliate cushioned edge, the body with relief scrolling acanthus leaf design, gilded interior, by Joseph Willmore, Birmingham 1832, 285g, 11cm x 7.5cm x 4cm.
Gilding to outer edge of lid slightly worn. Minor rubbing to the lid corner.
Strong interior gilding no obvious sign of repairs.
Light scratching throughout closes flush. one side 1mm gap at left. Hinge good working order.
