WW1 Canadian Forestry Corps Silver Lapel Badge. The CFC was created to supply the Hugh quantities of timber needed for the duck boards & wood for the trenches on the Western Front. As the timber would take up a lot of space on the ships and time was of the essence, the Canadian lumberjacks of the CFC were put to work in the forests of Europe.
