A FRENCH GILT METAL AND PORCELAIN MANTEL CLOCK, late 19th century, the twin barrel drum movement rack striking on a bell, the backplate stamped "Bennett, Cheapside, London, 1659", 3 3/4" dial with Roman numerals, the waisted case inset with blue ground porcelain panels painted with classical figure scenes, urn surmount, berried laurel swags, on turned feet, on giltwood stand, 14 3/4" wide 17 1/2" high, under glass dome with ebonised base (Illustrated) (Est. plus 24% premium inc. Generally good, appears to be in working order, porcelain good bar some minor wear around winding holes. Some wear to gilding of stand and small losses, dome and stand good.
