An Edwardian mahogany compactum writing desk by Simpson and Sons of Halifax and Blackburn, the foldover top enclosing a pull out writing slide with further stationery sections inkwells etc, over an arrangement of three drawers and a further cupboard
It is a sound piece, hinges are fine. The fitted interior pulls out smoothly and is intact. The spring release to the side drawers works well and drawers run smoothly.
It does have some recent big scratches - see images
