Two fantastic original framed 19th century photographs, featuring officers of the 2nd W.I.R (West Indian Regiment) at Tower Hill Barracks, Freetown, Sierra Leone dating to 1895. This photo is interesting as it was taken only 5 years before the Mutiny of the West African Regiment whose Court of Enquiry was set up at Tower Hill Barracks. The second features G. Peacocke of the 2nd W.I.R being carried by four footmen at Mt. Auriol in 1897.
