Walter Meegan painting " Whitby" painter of landscapes and moonlight scenes in oils. Studied at leeds college of art and became a pupil of john atkinson grimshaw. Painted views of scarborough, whitby and docksides. His paintings were sometimes signed Walter linsley, his mothers mainden name.
