What the vendor believes to be a Roman short sword or ceremonial dagger, blade 16" x 2" at the widest, with shallow central fullers and 7" tang rivetted over the small circular iron pommel washer. In good excavated condition (heavily corroded overall). This was found on a building site at Timsbury in Somerset, together with two gladius type swords. £600-650
