III), 100 plates (including 6 mounted photographs in vol. III and one folding map in vol. II), many coloured, illustrations in the text, after Herbert Ponting, Edward Wilson and others. Both hinges to volume 3 cracked, original dark blue ribbed cloth, coloured illustration mounted on each front cover, gilt edges, extremities very slightly rubbed, minor knocks/indents, Limitation leaves light browned in vols I and II, limitation leaf to vol. III spotted, other instances of minor spotting present, occasional faint offsetting, mounted illustrations to covers of vols 1 & 2 with minor marks
