A CHINESE WUCAI VASE Transitional, circa 1640, decorated in underglaze blue and polychrome enamels with elegant ladies playing games in a fenced gardens with a mountainous landscape beyond, the base unglazed, 29.5cm high

Provenance: The grandfather of the vendor was Herbert Way. He was a merchant on the Bund in Shanghai in the 1920's and 1930's.
