Victoria (1837-1901), Gothic Florin, 1881, Type B8, crowned bust left, without WW below bust for engraver William Wyon, legend surrounds VICTORIA DG BRIT REG FD MDCCCLXXXI, within a border of arcs. Rev, four crowned shields cruciform, emblems in angles, value above, lower legend ONE TENTH OF A POUND, (S.3900; Bull.2902; ESC.856). Toned with mint brilliance, scratch in front of bust. Despite some weakness in the die or perhaps a soft initial strike, extremely fine.
