A large believed South African 20th century carved soapstone sculpture of lions slaying a buffalo. The sculpture depicts a buffalo getting attacked by lioness and lion on a naturalistic base. Unsigned, in the manner of Antoine Louis Barye's subjects. Repair to horn.
