log of the East India Company Ship Walthamstow, 126 leaves (including 3 pages of the names and occupations of the crew, including butcher, baker and poulterer, and 3 pages of the names of the passengers), 12 December 1805-18 September 1807, sailing from Blackwall Dock to St Helena and thence to the Cape of Good Hope, Bengal, Diamond Harbour, Sauger, Point de Galle, back to St Helena and thence back to England, very often in the company of the stores ship the Lord Nelson, mostly dealing with the weather, but with numerous mentions of tradesmen and a few punishments; contemporary blind-stamped reverse calf, a few defects -- 14½ x 9in. (36.8 x 22.9cm.)
