Victorian Heavy Cavalry Officer's Sword by Wilkinson 1879
34 3/4 inch, single edged, slightly curved blade with wide fuller. The forte etched with Prince Of Wales plumes over By Appointment. Maker "Henry Wilkinson Pall Mall London". Back edge numbered 22888 (1879). Steel, foliage pierced bowl guard. Steel checkered pommel and part checkered backstrap. Shagreen covered grip with twist wire binding. Contained in its polished steel scabbard. Complete with later gilt sword knot.
