Advertising Poster Village People Macho Man Music Band Gay. Original vintage music advertising poster for an American disco group Village People - Macho Man, featuring an illustration of the members of the group in their iconic costume personas of the cowboy, the policeman, the construction worker, the Native American, the leather man, and the soldier. Macho Man is the second studio album and it was released in 1978. Produced by Jacques Morali for Can't Stop Productions. Village People is an American disco group known for its on-stage costumes and suggestive lyrics in their music. The group was originally formed by French producers Jacques Morali, Henri Belolo and lead singer Victor Willis following the release of the debut album Village People, which targeted disco's large gay audience. The group's name refers to Manhattan's Greenwich Village, with its reputation as a gay neighborhood. The characters were a symbolic group of American masculinity and macho gay-fantasy personas. To date, Willis is the only original member still remaining with the group. Good condition, creasing, tears, minor staining. Country of issue: USA, designer: Unknown, size (cm): 90x59, year of printing: 1970s.
