A CHARLES II OAK BACKSTOOL, CIRCA 1680. The back panel typically carved with a single carnation flowerhead and oak leaves, the scroll-cut and pierced cresting unusually carved, the back-uprights with characteristic pyramid finials, the boarded seat with applied moulded-edge, on block and baluster-turned front legs, joined by a ball and ring-turned fore-rail and multiple plain stretchers, 46cm wide x 42cm deep x 108.5cm high.
