Scarce 1921 Arthur Havers (Open Golf Champion in 1923) signed and dated cabinet style photograph - seated with impressive PGA Leeds Golfing silver trophy signed in black ink A G Havers overall 7.5" x 5.5". Note Arthur Havers (b.1898-d.1980) first qualified for the Open in 1914 at the age of 16yrs, went onto win the Open in 1923 at Royal Troon as well as Glasgow Herald Tournament the following week at Gleneagles. Played in the first Gt Britain v USA golf tournament winning in 1921 and 1926 and played in the first Ryder Cup in 1927 and again in 1931 and 1933.
