Bound with the second tome or volume of the Paraphrases of Erasmus upon the Newe Testament, conteynyng the Epistles of St Paul and the other Apostles whereunto is added a paraphrase upon the Revelation of St John. Imprinted at London in Flete-Strete at the sign of the Sunne by Edward Whitchurche, the XVI daye of August 1549. Vol 1 lacks 20 preliminary leaves and folios I-V. Vol 2 lacks title and 29 leaves at the end of Revelations. In addition, the last ten leaves are missing the top corners with loss of text. Facsimile title to volume 2. The missing and defective leaves are provided in good facsimile and bound up separately. Both volumes are in Black Letter with woodcut initials. Good margins. Early panelled calf, rebacked. Firmly bound and very useable (2).
