A Chinese earthenware pillow, Liao dynasty, of typical form, the green glaze incised with an ochre border enclosing two peony, the underside with painted character mark inscription, 36.5cm
Minor glaze chips to the edges but, in my opinion, nothing too detrimental. No obvious cracks or large chips. Residue of earth adhered in fine patches throughout.
