British WWII Mine Marker, 1944 and has maker mark H.&S. CAT. No.W.A.10764 . H&S stands for Hampton & Sons, a major supplier of canvas and webbing to the British Army in the Second World War. The numbers are the stores code to identify the item. When a mine was found the mine was covered with these small folding markers.
