A Victorian silver-gilt and glass three-bottle spice cruet set by John William Figg, London 1872, the frame of quatrefoil form with C scroll handles, beaded rim, the scrolled cartouche engraved with armorial and motto for the Worshipful Company of Mercers and raised on three bun feet, the hobnail cut glass jars with domed lids and cast spiral finial's, 117.9gms. (37ozs.), with glass dome and circular ebonised stand The cruet was presented to Cecil Curtis Harold Smith during 1953 when Master of the Mercers' Company that year.
