L/G 13/9/1918, Sch No 182182 served 53rd Brigade 18th Eastern Divn. MM one of four awards for the March Offensive 1918. It is most likely for Gallantry at Hangard Village / Wood in April 1918. He was recommended for the MM with Sgt Berry who was also awarded the MM and is mentioned in the Regt History for his gallantry at Hangard on the 12th April 1918.
