A GEORGE I WALNUT CROSSBANDED SIDE TABLE having two short and one long drawer, crossbanded and with pierced brass escutcheon, back plates and swing handles, above an arched and shaped apron, on cabriole legs with pointed pad feet, c.1720. See illustration

Quartered top is rising and veneer joints have separated. Crack in right hand panel, old worm back right and in other areas to top. Water staining and ink stain back left. Handles old replacements. Pine linings to drawers.Long drawer base lining cracked. Legs with old repairs to blocks. Other general wear, scuffs and scratches commensurate with age. 80cm wide x 44cm deep x 69cm high.
