A GOOD QUALITY SILVER COVERED CIGAR BOX, with hinged lid and lined with wood. The top is decorated with an engine cut design in four triangular sections. Nice clear maker’s mark of S&M for Sanders & Mackenzie (Ernest Wilfred Sanders & Henry Arthur Mackenzie). Date letter for Birmingham of ‘M’ for 1936. Dimensions of box: 17cm x 11cm x 4cm. Some dints/marks to corners and edges; commensurate with age & use and in our opinion do not detract from the piece.
