A George III oak chest, of two short over three long drawers, brass swan-neck handles, bracket feet, 101.5cm high, 96cm wide, 53cm deep. c.1800,
There is some separation of the oak boards that comprise the top. The top also has many bruises, dents and areas of staining.
Separation of the panels to the sides. Some signs of wear to the sides, some small dents.
The handles are missing from the top two short drawers. The handles of the long drawers have been replaced.
The drawer bases have some splits. Please see additional photos.
The piece overall has much in the way of general surface wear, which has provided a pleasant aged patina. Structurally the chest is good.
