A Boer War walking stick formerly belonging to David Lockhart Maxwell, who was wounded in the Boer War (brother of Francis Aylmer Maxwell V.C.). Bears old label attached to damaged shaft 'D L Maxwell's stick, splintered by a bullet (... Boer War) which also wounded ... y another bullet which scarred the stick along its length.' 35 1/2'' long.
