Glorious medium size stoneware barrel emblazoned with raised lots of decorations, predominantly deep Doulton blue, with bands/ areas of green & brown. Large raised letters to front, above spigot, SHERRY, to rear A ARROLL & SONS LTD/ NEWCASTLE ON TYNE (originally a Scottish company which amalgamated with 2 Newcastle firms, J Meikle & William Turnbull, in 1895, and purchased Dover & Newsome Baxter in 1898 & Arthur Hills Brewery in 1910. Various impressed marks. Never seen another such. No damages.
