A Chinese 'Nanking Cargo' blue and white porcelain bowl, c.1750, decorated with a pagoda in a rural landscape, bears Christie's label to verso, 15cm diameter, together with a blue and white saucer (2).
Provenance: The Dutch East India Company ship sunk in the South China Sea in 1752 on its way to the Netherlands. The 'Naking Cargo' was sold at Christie's in Amsterdam in 1986
