A FIRST WORLD WAR CASUALTY TRIO TO THE ARTILLERY. A Great War trio comprising a 914-15 Star named to 20992 GNR H. MC GUIRE R.G.A. War Medal and Victory Medal similarly named. Hugh Mc Guire was the son of Mrs Margaret O'Hara (formerly McGuire) of 130 Watt St Glasgow and the late Patrick Mc Guire. He was killed in action on the 13th October 1918 whilst serving with the 274th Siege Battery, he is buried at the St Aubert British Cemetery, East of Cambrai. His headstone reads 'No morning dawns nor night returns but what we think of him R.I.P.' he died at the age of 36. *CR Slight marking to surfaces. A lot fee of £8 inc. VAT will be charged on top of the hammer price and BP on all lots.
