GB Postal History - an important study of 1840's and 50's mail sent to Guisborough from many locations and a few sent overseas. Inc three Mulready letter sheets, one posted from London No 4 Maltese Cross in black. Stereo A54, one locally posted with black MC. Stereo A2, one posted London, red MC, dated JU27 1840. All three with 2 vertical creases. 2x 1d Black on Cover, both 4 margins. Plus a further 40x Covers / entires with 1d Red imperf. 17 of which bearing MC inc London No5 x2 and 1x No7. Various other markings noted. Varied number of duplex cancels. 3x Covers to Wurtenburg Germany, one bearing SG92 3d rose Plate 4 with York duplex (cat £500+).
