ARR JOE SCARBOROUGH (b.1938), Busy street scene, car sales, scrapyard, the New Mount Zion Chapel and backstreet terraces, oil on canvas, signed and dated (19)81 to lower middle, 65.5cm x 65.5cm. See illustration

More Information

Mid top edge has vertical scratch approximately 4cm down and a scuff mark or series of small scratched to the left.
Central figure in brown and yellow - the brown paint has a little craquelure '1905' above the door - there is what appears to be a piece of thin paper stuck to canvas - it could be a dirty mark but it looks more like tissue paper. I would think this would come off without damage if done by a competent person. Otherwise in very good order.
