A VICTORIAN SILVER NOVELTY PEPPERETTE, in the form of an Owl, with pull off cover and set with red and black glass eyes, maker George Unite, Birmingham 1867, approximate weight 2.7ozt, 86 grams, height 8.5cm (condition: interior coated with layer of pepper, underside of feet and tail feathers have some corrosion/heavy tarnish, marked to back of head, tip of tail feathers and underside of tail feathers, the cover is a little stiff to get on and off the body and leaves a small gap between the two when put together)
