Meissen - A pair of late 18th or early 19th century large porcelain figures often referred to as The Gardener and His Companion in 18th Century style dress, each carrying a posy of flowers in one hand, a basket of flowers in  the other, standing on a flower strewn lawn supported by Rococo style plinth painted with songbirds and encrusted with flowers. Meissen cross swords mark to base with star beneath - the Marcolini Mark - indicating they were made after 1775. Height 44cm.
