A Crown Devon Fieldings Lustrine Ware comport, 1930's, decorated to the interior with a mermaid with flowing hair swimming with koi carp amongst richly gilded reeds and seaweed against a peach coloured ground, the exterior with iridescent blue glaze and gilt floral banding, black printed mark, 26cm diameter, 14.5cm high
Extensive crazing overall, some rubbing to the rim and bowl interior, along with rubbing to the gilt highlights, rubbing wear and surface abrasions to the rim exterior.
