Twelve Commemorative first day covers "Return to Oflag 7c & Colditz Castle", nine of which are signed by various prisoners of war held at Colditz Castle during WW2 including Major Patrick "Pat" Reid (Escaped Colditz), Captain Kenneth Lockwood MBE (one of the first six British prisoners at Colditz), Lieutenant Peter Allan (famous for "The Mattress" Escape), Flight Lieutenant Walter Morrison, Polish Captain Joseph Tucki, Kapitein Luitenant ter Zee Francis Steinmetz (Dutchman Escaped Colditz), Lieutenant Commander Damiaen J van Doorninck (Dutchman Escaped Colditz), Private Solly Goldman, Midshipman John Powell Davies, Captain Tommy Catlow, Lieutenant Colonel James Yule, Flight Lieutenant L Butcher, Pilot Officer Jack Best (headed the "Colditz Cock" glider project), Hauptmann Reinhold Eggers (Colditz Security Officer) and Robert Muckel, Alan Murphey (USA Liberators).
