A late Victorian silver-plated rectangular desk stand, the plateau centred by a wafer box, flanked by a pair of mounted cut glass wells, the front with a dished pen tray and associated silver pen, the skirted base cast in the Rococo taste with a frieze of putti, cartouches, foliage and alternating C and S-scrolls, within reeded borders, bracket feet, 28.5cm wide, maker's mark, probably by Spurrier & Co of Birmingham and London, c. 1900
