Mar. 1805 EL from POW "Dalizman" [?] on parole (probably in Chesterfield which is mentioned in the letter and also a later annotation) to his fellow-POW "Lieut. Col. Maurin, Tiverton" charged "9[d]" though routed via London with mainly very fine oval "TRANSPORT OFFICE/[Crown]/G.R/PRISONERS OF WAR" on the front and transit cds (8 Mar.; the day before the date in the letter) on the flap. The contents concern various mutual POW friends and mentions the Transport Office. Very rare inter-POW mail within Britain.
