A mid 19c French mantel clock by Henri Marc, the two train movement having a silk suspension to the pendulum and countwheel striking on a bell. It has an 8cm diam. silvered dial with Roman numerals and moon hands and is contained in a rectangular rosewood case inlaid with boxwood foliage. The case has a rectangular top glass and brass carrying handle, and a steppe base with bun feet. It stands 25cm tall (handle raised).
Movement seems clean and complete. Dial and glass are both good. Inlay to case complete. Very slight damage to veneer on bottom left side and slight split to moulding on bottom right hand side.
