A fantastic original limited edition (26/30) etching by Margaret Arthur titled "Snow Capped Mournes" hand signed bottom right in pencil. Features the titular mountains against a sandy shore with a period building to the right. This artwork was commissioned by the Hasting's Hotel Group in pursuit of its policy of supporting artists in Ireland. Nicely Housed in a gilt frame. Arthur sells well at auction, fetching high hundreds at Whytes.

Margaret lives and works in County Down, and studied Fine Art painting and etching at Belfast College of Art before taking a post graduate degree in printmaking from the Brighton College of Art. In 1981 she co-founded the Seacourt Print Workshop and was its Director until 2013 after which she was made an Honorary Life Member. She exhibits widely in Ireland, the U.K., and throughout Europe, and in the U.S.A., where she lived and worked for a year, holding a solo exhibition at The Russell Rotunda, a Senate building in Washington DC. In 2007 she spent six months in California, printmaking at Stanford University, and at the Pacific Art League, and in 2010 took the opportunity to work in San Diego with encaustic artist Robert Treat. Her work has also been shown at the Belfast International Airport several years running.
