An Antique 18ct gold three stone sapphire and diamond gypsy ring, maker JB, indistinct date, rub-over set with 0.65ct cushion-cut sapphire flanked by old-cut diamonds, total diamond content approx 0.5ct, setting height 7.7mm, size J, 6.4g
No damage, all stones present, sapphire is a dark blue with a chip on the pavilion and minor facet edge abrasions, diamonds relatively bright and lively with several internal fracture inclusions, general wear to high points of mount and a join mark on back of shank but still heavy gauge, partial UK hallmarks worn, marked 18
