A Victorian Jaques & Son of London turned ebony and boxwood weighted chess set entitled ‘The Staunton Chess-Men’. Housed within a mahogany case with green baize lining and original H Staunton paper label. Marks present to several pieces. The King punched with ‘Jaques London’ mark. (33 items) Kings: 8.8 cm height. Condition report: Some wear with age as illustrated. Some small chips and the odd split to wood present.
