Napoleonic War Period Yeomanry Officers Sword.

A fine quality and rare example retailed through Joseph Dean of London.  31 inch, fullered curved blade with 1/2 length etched blue and gilt decoration (30% present). This depicting a crowned GR cypher and floral decoration. The hilt with a half basket scrolling steel guard with a crown and circle mounted to the centre. Complete with black leather and steel scabbard with two loose rings. The top mount engraved "J DEAN N 4 STRAND". Overall GC.

Joseph Dean operated at No.4 The Strand from 1791 to 1803, when in 1804 he moved to Craven Street, Strand
